(OBSOLETE) Trailer Supply List
NOTE - These supplies have all been moved out of the trailer
and need to be replaced.

Add Nexband/Vetbond?? or just carry it since it's so small?
Or just plain super glue?

February, 2002 - Supplies stash for emergency trailer
These supplies are the property of Ronnie Falcao,
available for use by the OMVNA-CERT in case of emergency.
My intention is to replace them every few years when I
restock my own supplies.

Added Autumn, 2005: Case of Nitrile exam gloves - size LARGE

Added Summer, 2005:  Deluxe Burn Kit

In one box - 6 boxes vinyl gloves - size M - 100 each box
 [These would be used to protect healthcare providers;
this may seem like a lot of gloves, but if we're
going to expect people to volunteer to provide
medical care, we absolutely must have enough
gloves to go around.  You obviously need at
least one pair of gloves for each "patient",
but more realistically, you'd use one pair of
gloves to examine the wound, another to clean
it, and a third to dress the wound.  Maybe I'm
overestimating here, but I find that I change
  gloves very often.]
6 1L bags expired IV fluids - (2 Oct '00, 1 Oct '99, 3 Aug '99)
[These could reasonably be used as irrigation fluid.]

In medium blue Rubbermaid Tote bin:
Copy of old American Red Cross First Aid Text-Book
4 boxes vinyl gloves - size M - 100 each box
3 white plastic-backed paper sheets (40"x90") to lay out on
a table or a tarp to create a clean space.
3 white medium plastic bags for trash
2 packs blue poly-backed paper towels (25 each)
[These make good clean work areas, fresh for each patient.]
10 sterile towel drapes - 18" x 26"
[These are typically used to create a sterile work area, which
we probably wouldn't need, but they're here just in case.
Alternatively, they could be used as extra-large bandage
  covers w/gauze pads inside.]
Triflex sterile vinyl single gloves - size M - about 50
10 pairs sterile vinyl gloves - size M - in individual plastic packs
[These would be used for touching open wounds if necessary.]
1 pack food service gloves (100)
[These would be used for cleaning up bloody materials.]
9 packs sterile 2x2 gauze pads (50 each)
[These would be used for placing over wounds that are
just slightly too big for a regular band-aid.]
1 pack sterile 4x4 gauze pads (50 each)
[These would be used for placing over wounds that are
significantly larger than a regular band-aid.]
1 roll old bandage tape [We need more!]
2 bottles Sani-Wash No-Rinse Skin Cleanser
[This is for cleaning hands if there's no water available.]
2 3/4 ox. packets of povidone-iodine solution
 [For disinfecting skin if necessary]
2 povidone-iodine infused scrub brushes for scrubbing hands
1 packet Amerse cold sterilization solution
[If I'm using my suturing instruments for any reason, I'll be
able to sterilize them with this.]
1 pack DermaSeal Tan Skin Closure Strips (1/8 in. x 3 in.)
50 envelopes of several strips each
1 pack DermaSeal Tan Skin Closure Strips (1/4 in. x 3 in.)
50 envelopes of several strips each
[These could be used to close gaping wounds; this is a very
useful alternative to suturing and might be the best way
that we as a neighborhood group could relieve the burden
on the hospitals.  Copies of instructions are included. ]
2 bags IV fluids - expired Jan '02
